CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History will host a Halloween Bash on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex in Charleston. The Halloween Bash is free and open to the public. All guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume or Halloween attire.

The Great Hall will be complete with Halloween decorations, where kids can enjoy playing an array of seasonal games and take home a treat bag. Halloween stories also will take place in the West Virginia Library Commission library room, located right off the Great Hall.

Prizes for best costumes will be awarded in three age categories. Fifth grade students and younger are eligible for prizes. Although costumes are optional, shoes and other cloaking attire are required. All visitors will be treated to light refreshments and holiday music like “The Monster Mash,” “Werewolves of London” and “Season of the Witch.”
