West Virginia Division of Culture and History Sets Application Deadline for Cultural Facilities and Capital Resource Grants

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Culture and History (WVDCH) has set Sept. 1, 2017 as the deadline for applications for the second round of FY2018 Cultural Facilities and Capital Resource (CFCR) grants.  The grant program is open to nonprofit arts and history organizations and agencies of county or municipal government, including school boards. 

The grant funds can be used for the renovation, construction and acquisition of real property, including alterations needed to comply with Section 504 of the 1974 Rehabilitation Act or 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act.  The grants can be used for projects that will be completed between Oct. 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018.

Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to submit a letter of intent to the Arts Section of the WVDCH, postmarked no later than July 1, 2017.  Organizations applying for the grant may submit a draft for review, postmarked Aug. 1, 2017.  The grant application must be postmarked by Sept. 1, 2017 and successful applicants will be notified by Oct. 1, 2017.
