West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History to Host Grant Writing Workshop and Listening Tour in Elkins

ELKINS, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History (WVDACH) State Arts Office will host a grant writing workshop and listening tour in Elkins on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Randolph County Community Arts Center, 2 Park St., Elkins. The event is free and open to the public.

The grant writing workshop will take place from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., and the listening tour will take place from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

All grant programs and additional services administered by the State Arts Office will be covered during the workshop and information will be provided on how to apply. This will include programs and services available to individual artists, 501(c)3 organizations with an arts related mission or arts programming, local and county government agencies, and public or private educational institutions.

A listening tour will immediately follow the workshop. Listening tours are informal meetings where citizens of West Virginia are allowed the opportunity to address staff from the State Arts Office to make recommendations related to the improvements of the arts in their communities and throughout West Virginia.
