SUMMARY:Three Dog Night
DESCRIPTION:Legendary band\, THREE DOG NIGHT\, now in its 6th decade\, claims some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. In the years 1969 through 1974\, no other group achieved more top 10 hits\, moved more records\, or sold more concert tickets than THREE DOG NIGHT. THREE DOG NIGHT hits weave through the fabric of pop culture today\, whether on the radio where they are heard day in and day out\, in TV commercials or in major motion pictures — songs like “Mama Told Me (Not To Come)”\, “Joy to the World”\, “Black and White”\, “Shambala” and “One” serve to heighten our emotions and crystallize THREE DOG NIGHT’s continuing popularity. Boasting chart and sales records that remain virtually unmatched in popular music\, THREE DOG NIGHT holds a Billboard Magazine record for releasing 21 consecutive Top 40 hits\, including 3 #1 singles “Mama Told Me (Not to Come)”\, “Joy to the World”\, and “Liar; the chart success drove 7 Platinum-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs. The hits appeared on best-selling charts in all genres (pop\, rock\, rhythm & blues\, and country). Its records continue to sell around the world\, reaching beyond the borders of the U.S. into Japan\, Canada\, Holland\, England\, Germany\, Spain and elsewhere. Tens of millions of THREE DOG NIGHT records have been sold through the years. Created in 1968 by Danny Hutton\, THREE DOG NIGHT maintains an aggressive\, year[1]round touring schedule of over 90 dates a year\, performing their hit filled concerts for multi-generational audiences. The band’s now-famous name refers to native Australian hunters in the outback who huddled with their dogs for warmth on cold nights; the coldest being a “three dog night”. The band recorded songs of the best and largely undiscovered new songwriters of its time including Harry Nilsson\, Randy Newman\, Elton John\, Laura Nyro\, Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton among many others. The group’s eclectic taste\, combined with its ability to recognize and record hits in a unique\, distinctive\, and appealing style\, resulted in THREE DOG NIGHT dominating the charts for years. The band’s music transcends time\, bringing together both new and long-term audiences alike. Three Dog Night Page 2 THREE DOG NIGHT demonstrates its eclectic song choices once again with the new material being recorded for an upcoming album release. One of the new tracks\, “Prayer of the Children” was discovered by Hutton who created an a cappella arrangement\, so that for the first time in the history of THREE DOG NIGHT\, the vocals of all six members of the band are featured. The song is currently part of their live concert set and quickly becoming an audience favorite. Marking over 50 years on the road\, THREE DOG NIGHT continues to grow its fan base by keeping up a full schedule of concerts at theatres\, performing arts centers\, fairs\, festivals\, corporate events\, and casinos. Since 1986\, the band has performed nearly 3\,000 shows including two Super Bowls.

SUMMARY:A1A – The Official & Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show
DESCRIPTION:A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was formed in 1991 when lead vocalist and guitarist Jeff Pike invited Scott Nickerson\, founder of the first Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head Club\, to join his already successful one-man tribute to Jimmy Buffett. In 1992\, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records\, bringing them to the attention of Jimmy Buffett and his organization. \n\n\n\nStarting in 1992\, A1A was the first band to perform at and repeatedly headline the annual Jimmy Buffett ‘Meeting of The Minds’ Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head Convention and many other national landmark yearly Parrot Head Events\, which laid the foundation for the fundamental building and growth of the National Jimmy Buffett fan base\, Parrot Head Club community and the Trop Rock and Coastal Americana Music genres as they are today. \n\n\n\nIn 1993\, A1A was invited to appear in Jimmy Buffett’s MTV Video\, ‘Fruitcakes.’ In 1995\, Jeff Pike performed with Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta\, Georgia. The show was recorded and released as “Jimmy Buffett’s Barometer Soup Radio Special.” This show and Jeff’s performance still receive regular rotation on Jimmy Buffett’s “Radio Margaritaville” on SiriusXM Radio. \n\n\n\nIn 1998\, A1A recorded their first live CD\, “A1A Live.” The CD was produced by Jimmy Buffett’s bass player\, Jim Mayer\, and featured performances by Jimmy’s long-time harmonica player\, Greg “Fingers” Taylor. \n\n\n\nThat same year\, Jimmy Buffett Coral Reefer Band Members Michael Utley and Robert Greenidge performed with A1A during their headline performance at the Meeting Of The Minds (The Annual Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head Convention) in Key West\, Florida. At that same show\, A1A introduced a future Trop Rock star to the world: a young 14-year-old steel drum player and songwriter named John Patti. \n\n\n\nIn 2001\, A1A recorded their second live CD\, “A1A and Friends—Live at Hemingway’s.” This CD featured Amy Lee\, then Jimmy Buffett’s saxophone player. Two years later\, in 2003\, the band released their first CD of original Trop Rock music\, “Ship Happens!!!” \n\n\n\nIn its 32-year history\, A1A has played to countless high-profile clients\, Parrot Heads\, and fans nationwide and continues to draw large crowds to their performances. Members of Jimmy Buffett’s band\, the late Greg “Fingers” Taylor\, Mac McAnally\, Michael Utley\, Robert Greenidge\, Peter Mayer\, Amy Lee\, Nadirah Shakoor\, and Tina Gullickson\, have all performed with A1A over the years. Greg “Fingers” Taylor and Amy Lee were featured on the band’s first two live CDs. In 2009\, Mac McAnally and Nadirah Shakoor chose A1A as her backup band to help promote her Mailboat Records Release\, ‘Nod To The Story Teller.’ \n\n\n\nIn 2004\, founding member Scott Nickerson left the band for personal and health reasons. He relocated to Wilmington\, North Carolina\, where he still resides and performs with local Trop Rock Musicians. \n\n\n\nUpon Scott’s departure in 2004\, Jeff decided to grow the band and show from the duo they had been since their inception into a much larger performing band utilizing the finest musicians and audio engineers available. \n\n\n\nIn 2008\, A1A released their second CD\, “Beachwrecked.”One of Jeff’s original songs from Beachwrecked\, entitled “The Steller Song Lines (In Memory of The Steller Sea Cow)\,” was featured in an educational CD issued by the national Save The Manatee Club. \n\n\n\nIn 2011\, the band sold out two consecutive nights at the historic Strand Theater in Marietta\, Georgia. The two shows were recorded and released as their third live album\, “Road To Paradise.” An original song entitled “Hey Margarita” was included on that album\, which helped bring them to the attention of Hollywood Producer Kirk Jones. \n\n\n\nIn 2012\, Jimmy Buffett and his personal assistant\, Mike Ramos\, were instrumental in landing A1A in the Lions Gate Major Motion Picture Release\, ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting.’ The band recorded Jimmy’s classic\, ‘Why Don’t We Get Drunk\,’ included in the movie and on the soundtrack released by Capitol Records. In 2016\, A1A was honored to be requested to perform with Jimmy Buffett and Mac McAnally as their band in a private performance for State Dignitaries and some of Jimmy’s personal friends at The Masters Open in Augusta\, Georgia. A1A closed out 2016 at The Labor Day End of Summer Beach Bash for The Washington State Fair with Tim McGraw\, Kid Rock\, and Uncle Kracker. \n\n\n\nToday\, the band’s popularity continues to grow\, and with Jimmy Buffett’s devastating passing in September 2023\, their mission\, show\, and presence are ever more important. \n\n\n\nThe energy\, musicianship\, originality\, excitement\, and continuous honest dedication to preserving Jimmy Buffett’s legacy that has always surrounded a Jeff Pike and A1A performance are an experience and a driving force that has helped the band remain the first and foremost Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show in history.

SUMMARY:Rock and Roll Doo Wop V. 26
DESCRIPTION:The Heath Plan presents Rock\, Roll & Doo Wop Volume 26! Starring Gary Lewis and The Playboys!  The comedy antics of his father\, Jerry Lewis\, skyrocketed him to fame when he was just barely out of his teens\, but in 1965 Gary Lewis & the Playboys released their first single\, “This Diamond Ring” and it went straight to number one.  That same year\, Gary was Cash Box magazine’s “Male Vocalist of the Year”\, winning the honor over other nominees including Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.  An enviable string of hits followed – “Count Me In”\,  “Save Your Heart For Me”\, “Everybody Loves A Clown”\, “She’s Just My Style”\, “Sure Gonna Miss Her”\, and many more.  He was the only artist during the 60s to have his first 7 releases reach Billboard’s Top 10.  Gary still sounds just like his records and tells the stories only he can tell – growing up in Hollywood\, becoming one of the biggest rock stars of the sixties and touring the world with hits everyone knows and loves. Plus: Charlie Thomas’ Drifters are back by popular demand singing all their hits including “Under the Boardwalk\,” “Up on the Roof\,” “Save the Last Dance for Me\,” “On Broadway.” For the first time ever\, we’ll be joined by The Box Tops\, who were trail-blazers in the 60s and one of the most influential bands of the era with hits like “The Letter” and “Cry Like a Baby.” We’re also bringing back ‘the voice of summer love\,’ Brian Hyland who’ll sing the indelible “Sealed with a Kiss\,” “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini\,” “Gypsy Woman” and more.  Special guest appearance by Pittsburgh’s own Pure Gold as seen on PBS-TV.  Produced by Spotlight Productions.
