DESCRIPTION:The mission of the WV Country Roads Festival is to promote the history and agriculture of West Virginia in a fun\, educational and safe environment by promoting the traditions of family entertainment.\n\nThe WV Country Roads Festival values our community\, and holds a primary objective of supporting our community by creating a venue to provide families\, young and old\, enjoyment at a fun\, family-friendly weekend at an affordable cost. We will continue to support and display our local entrepreneurs\, vendors\, and talents to expose them to a more diverse audience.  We will also continue to integrate arts\, history and culture into the festival in ways that attendees of all ages can engage and learn.

SUMMARY:2023 Vandalia Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Since 1977 the Vandalia Gathering has been taking place on the Capitol Grounds. Every Memorial Day Weekend people come from far and wide to experience the traditional culture of WV. Featuring multiple musical competitions\, a baking contest\, and the annual storytelling “Liar’s Contest”\, as well as over 30 West Virginia artisans and dancers (don’t forget the food!) There is something for everyone at the Vandalia Gathering.
