SUMMARY:Comedy Stage Show: "The Hitchin' Post"
DESCRIPTION:The acting troupe at Fayette Theater presents this comedy play written by Pat Cook set at Hurley Squonk’s general store\, the Hitchin’ Post. Run by Hurley himself\, who is always behind the counter\, this sort of “everything store” serves as a run-of-the-mill meeting place for the locals. But the normal\, laid-back pace changes when a young couple arrives who have picked today to elope. But an overbearing mother and her meek secretary have recruited local law enforcement to stop the wedding. And that’s just the start of the hilarity! The events of this not-so-ordinary day outside a Texas town will keep you in stitches. The Hitchin’ Post is produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Company.
