CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Culture and History has unveiled an exhibit at the Robert C. Byrd U.S. Courthouse titled “Contemporary Art from the West Virginia State Museum.” The exhibit is showcased on the first and second floor of the rotunda through June 1.
All 49 pieces on display are from the state museum collection and were acquired from both the biennial West Virginia Juried Exhibitions and the Juried Inspired Series. The exhibition includes both two- and three-dimensional works. For almost 40 years, the biennial exhibit has featured works of art reflecting current artistic creations exemplifying the best West Virginia has to offer. A complete list of art and artists is attached.
